AES, the Middle East’s only chartered, fee-based fiduciary, has named Andrew Bates as CEO of its Private Wealth and Family Office arm, effective 1 August.
Bates, who will be based in Dubai, is set to lead the firm’s strategic expansion across the MENA region, while continuing to deliver bespoke financial solutions to international families seeking greater clarity and control over their wealth.
Bringing more than three decades of global private banking and wealth management experience, Bates has held senior roles across the UK, UAE, South Africa, Isle of Man, and Asia. He spent over 20 years at Nedbank Private Wealth, most recently heading its operations in the Middle East and Asia. Earlier in his career, he also held leadership positions at Lloyds Banking Group.
His areas of expertise include investment strategy, trust and estate planning, property and portfolio finance, deposit solutions, and cross-border wealth planning tied to immigration.
