Robertson Stephens Unveils New Family Office for Select UHNW Clients

Robertson Stephens has announced the launch of a specialized family office service, led by industry veteran Bruce Stewart, aimed at ultra-high-net-worth families seeking a tailored alternative to traditional multi-family office platforms.

Stewart, who joins as Head of Family Office, brings over 25 years of experience in building and advising single-family offices, as well as serving as an outsourced chief investment officer. His focus will be on serving families who require more sophisticated wealth management solutions but are not yet ready to transition into a standalone single-family office.

“Expanding into family office services has always been part of our vision,” said Raj Bhattacharyya, CEO of Robertson Stephens. “With this launch, we are offering an exclusive and customized experience beyond what’s available at private banks and multi-family offices, but without the cost burden of a full-fledged single-family office. Bruce’s extensive expertise and proven track record make him the perfect leader for this initiative.”

Before joining Robertson Stephens, Stewart was Founder and Managing Partner of Spartan Risk Solutions (SRS), a boutique consultancy specializing in family office development and outsourced CIO services. There, he managed $23 billion in wealth for four families. His previous roles include Global Head of Investments at Bank of New York Family Office, overseeing nearly $15 billion in assets, as well as leadership positions at BNY Mellon Canada and Toronto Dominion Bank.
