Ontario-based digital giant GDA Capital announced that a new, annual Global Family Office Summit will be held in virtual mode at the Crypto Convention Center in Decentraland and Zoom on December 15 and 16.
It aims to connect private equity firms and traditional family offices, asset managers, global regulators, and disruptive unicorn companies with private investors, family, and institutional investors.
The summit aims to explore the latest paradigm shifts and the legal implications surrounding disruptive technologies to “track the next bull market”, the rise of ESG and impact investing, and intergenerational wealth transfer. Michael Cord, the co-founder of the GDA Group, described the Summit as crucial in the context of the impact of COVID-19 on the financial markets. “It is important that we come together to discuss new disruptions and opportunities that are happening, especially in the world of digital assets, blockchain technology, and the Metaverse,” he added.
The Global Family Office Summit was launched in October 2020 and was the first of its kind gathering of private wealth in the metaverse. The successful launch event was followed by the Wealth Management Summit this year in March, the NFT Summit in June, and the Europe and Asia Disruptive Investment Summits in July and October respectively.
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of the new Global Family Office Summit as we expand our global networks and involve more family offices, legal experts, and disruptive innovators,” said Jean-Luc Gustave, GDA Capital’s VP in Asia.
GDA Capital will host the summit with its event partners including Secure Digital Assets(SDM) and MEX Digital. SDM is a digital asset-focused spot-trading platform while MEX Digital is a regulated digital asset exchange and is a part of one of the largest digital financial derivatives providers, the MultiBank Group.
