Former Rothschild Asia Executive Joins Metalpha to Lead Hong Kong Expansion

Monique Chan, a seasoned private banking leader and former Asia head at Rothschild, has been appointed CEO of LSQ Capital, the Hong Kong-based arm of digital asset wealth firm Metalpha Technology. The appointment takes effect on 1 August.

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Chan will spearhead efforts to enhance LSQ Capital’s services for ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices, with a focus on integrating digital asset capabilities into its platform.

Her previous roles include CEO of Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild in Hong Kong, HSBC Private Bank Hong Kong, and BMO Private Bank Asia, as well as vice chair Asia at Bank J Safra Sarasin. She has also served on the board of the Private Wealth Management Association.

LSQ Capital operates under a licence from Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). Its parent company, Metalpha, delivers institutional-grade wealth management solutions tailored to digital asset investors.
