Tilo Marotz, fund selector and portfolio manager at German private bank Donner & Reuschel, is leaving the group at the end of June to pursue other opportunities.

This was revealed by Citywire Selector’s sister website Citywire Deutschland.

Marotz started at Donner & Reuschel in 2015 having work at family office Do Investment for four years. He was also previously employed as a portfolio manager at Hauck & Aufhäuser.

During his time at Donner & Reuschel, Marotz was responsible for multi-asset fund of funds, focusing on alternatives and was also a member of the investment committee.

Frank Albrecht and Stephan Leupold will take on Marotz’s responsibilities following his departure.

‘We are convinced that we can sustain internally the high quality of fund analysis for our asset management and advisory businesses. To achieve this, we have always been using a combination of in-house analysis and external research,’ Donner & Reuschel stated.

In November 2019 Marotz’s fund selection colleague Patrick Fritscher also left the bank. He had worked at Reuschel & Co bank for seven years before it was bought by Donner, forming Donner & Reuschel in 2009.
