Cerestra Advisors, an Indian private equity firm, and KPFO Ventures have joined together to launch a co-owned property technology platform, where investors can co-own assets.

The two have named the platform Winvest and it will be live next month with an asset portfolio of up to $100,000 million. Seed investment in the platform will be made by KPFO Ventures, and Cerestra will identify assets, manage assets and investors, and close deals.

“We believe that a technologically robust co-ownership real estate platform with innovative asset portfolio and exit opportunities is the need of the hour,” said Rajesh Patil, chief mentor at KPFO Ventures. He has said that their team has been at the forefront of real estate development for over 40 years. Therefore, they believe that the prop-tech real estate platform, Winvest is crucial at this point of the time.

The platform will connect with investors and family offices and help them optimize their real estate portfolios. Investors on the platform will have the opportunity to invest in mixed real estate portfolios, including an educational institute and a life science development center. The platform will also offer a joint ownership model that will initiate exit opportunities for investors.

According to Jasmeet Chhabra, proptech has democratized real estate investments and extended its reach. However, the current market may bring some disruptions in this domain. The team plans to focus their knowledge over the years towards unconventional real estate assets to create innovations, such as a defensive investment strategy and higher returns.
