A family office has put money behind a passion investment in the collector car world. The Cardinale Family Office has made a strategic investment in duPont REGISTRY Group (DRG), the Miami-based digital platform for the high-end automotive lifestyle, the company has announced.

DRG describes itself as an AI-powered, digitally enabled platform bringing together content, community and commerce for luxury and exotic cars. The announcement did not give the size of the investment or its terms.

According to DRG, the investment supports its aim of building a seamless and reliable ecosystem where enthusiasts and collectors can buy, finance and sell cars and take part in the wider culture around them. The company said it sees the move as a sign of the value of its global client and collector car database, and of a brand that has been a trusted source for luxury and exotic vehicles for more than 40 years.

A collector's investment

James Cardinale-McKinnon, Trustee and President of Rally Point East and Superior Motors North Fork, said that as a car collector and enthusiast, he and his family had always regarded duPont REGISTRY as the most trusted brand in the luxury and exotic car industry. He added that what CEO Antoine Tessier and his team had built with technology, proprietary data and AI is changing how clients transact, finance and engage with these cars.

Rally Point East is a private members' club in the Hamptons built around automotive culture, where collectors can store vehicles, socialise and attend lifestyle events.

Antoine Tessier, CEO of duPont REGISTRY Group, said the company was excited and proud to welcome Cardinale-McKinnon and his family as investors, and that his passion and knowledge would add to DRG's existing investor group.

The platform in numbers

As of 30 June 2026, DRG listed 279,000 cars with a total listing value of $33 billion. Alongside its digital marketplace, it runs more than 120 immersive events that draw nearly 120,000 attendees worldwide.

For family offices, the deal shows a collector family taking a direct stake in a data-led marketplace serving the niche it knows from the inside.
