Goldman Sachs has launched an enhanced platform for family office services, aiming to provide simplicity, flexibility, and personalized options for its private wealth clients. Building on decades of expertise in adviser-led outsourced family offices, the firm has integrated its Ayco and Private Wealth Management (PWM) offerings into a unified platform.

To better meet individual client needs, the revamped platform also introduces an à la carte service model, allowing clients to select tailored solutions based on their preferences and evolving requirements.

Responding to Changing Client Demands

As clients increasingly seek comprehensive wealth management solutions without the administrative burden of managing a full-scale family office, Goldman Sachs’ updated platform offers the ability to seamlessly transition between services as needs change.

Features of the Enhanced Platform

  • Family Office Solutions

Led by Chris Gleason, this option provides a menu of services, including consolidated reporting, alternative investment administration, and cybersecurity. Clients can choose services either on an as-needed or ongoing basis. The platform integrates advanced third-party fintech tools for modern digital offerings.

  • Private Family Office

Headed by Laura Carroll, this division offers full-service family office support, addressing complex financial needs. Services include advisory, reporting, coordination, and execution. Ayco remains a key part of this operation, delivering in-depth support for clients seeking comprehensive management.

  • Goldman Sachs Apex Team

With years of experience advising institutional family offices, the Apex team delivers exclusive investment opportunities, private market insights, and unique deal access through Goldman Sachs and its partners. The team also organizes global forums for family offices to network and share best practices.

Broader Services and Commitment

Beyond family office services, Ayco continues to collaborate with over 500 corporate clients, offering integrated wealth planning for executives and employees. These services include tax planning, estate planning, insurance solutions, and access to Goldman Sachs’ wealth management tools. Ayco supports leaders at more than half of the Fortune 100 and a significant portion of the Fortune 1000.

Leadership Perspectives

John Mallory, co-head of global Private Wealth Management, emphasized the importance of governance, flexibility, and continuity in wealth management. He highlighted the firm’s commitment to adapting to the evolving needs of clients to help them preserve and grow wealth across generations.

Stacy Mullaney, global head of the Goldman Sachs Family Office, explained that the platform’s integration enhances its ability to meet rising demand for holistic wealth management. “We can now confidently say, ‘We are your family office,’ offering tailored à la carte solutions or comprehensive adviser-led strategies,” she said.

This expansion reflects Goldman Sachs’ dedication to providing adaptable and comprehensive wealth management solutions, ensuring families can effectively navigate and grow their financial legacy.
