Raffles Family Office (Raffles FO), based in Hong Kong, announced the launch of Revo Digital Family Office (Revo DFO) on Thursday, the first of its kind in Asia, which allows ultra-high net worth (UHNW) families to access and invest in digital assets through a consolidated wealth management platform.
This next-generation platform is based on Raffles FO’s expertise and track record in servicing the UHNW segment, as well as Hong Kong-listed Huobi Technology Holdings’ industry-leading technology and in-depth know-how, according to a statement from Raffles FO.
In Asia, three out of four rich investors are interested in investing in digital assets, and more than half of them have already done so. Blockchain technology is also well positioned to improve the security and effectiveness of conventional wealth management systems and processes.
However, the majority of wealth management companies in Asia (67%) lack a strategy plan to navigate the changing terrain and are ill-prepared to satisfy the growing demand for digital assets.
“The growing interest in digital assets shown by UHNW investors in Asia presents new opportunities for the wealth management industry, but it is at risk of being overlooked and underserved,” said Revo DFO Chief Executive Officer Ray Tam.
He asserts that Revo DFO was created with the requirements of both traditional and digital asset wealth holders in mind, and it aims to act as a bridge and promote connectivity among partners across both traditional and digital assets in a single ecosystem.
According to him, the platform will enable cryptocurrencies and digital asset funds with possibilities for independent trading and professional management.
Additionally, it offers UHNWs who are crypto natives a simpler route to traditional asset management, with access to relationship managers and better generational succession planning, he continued.
