WE Family Offices has hired two product specialists to lead its manager due diligence and research efforts. The Miami-based firm has recruited Sam Sudame as senior investment manager for its public market investments and Matt Farrell as a senior investment associate for private markets. In these roles, Sudame and Farrell are in charge of the family office’s product selection and manager research across both traditional and alternative investments. Sudame will focus predominantly on carrying out manager due diligence and research within traditional investments, using his 25 years of experience in multi-asset investment. Prior to joining WE, he was director of research at Singer Xenos Wealth Management in Coral Gables, Florida for nine years and has previously worked for Bayerische Hypovereins Bank and Lehman Brothers, according to WE’s website. Farrell leads the group’s alternatives investments research efforts and was previously at Credit Suisse where he held a similar role carrying due diligence on alternative investment managers. WE managing partner Santiago Ulloa (pictured) oversees the team that carries out fund selection for client portfolios. WE’s product platform includes over 60 mutual funds from third-party asset managers. WE has offices in Miami and New York and services clients from US and abroad and had $10 billion in client assets as of August 2019.
