Pension funds dominated this week’s job moves with two new CEOs and a new chairman in Sweden. In Denmark, a pension fund got a new Head of ESG, another pension fund hired a new press consultant and an asset manager has welcomed a new Head of Clients. There were also changes at Catella, where the board has taken over the CEO role.

New CEO at SH Pension Annelie Helsing has been appointed CEO at SH Pension, replacing acting CEO Lena Schelin. Helsing joins the company from PRI Pensionsgaranti where she was Head of Business and Marketing. Helsing was at PRI Pensionsgaranti for four years and previously worked at AMF for seven and a half years. PRI Pensionsgaranti gets new CEO Speaking of PRI Pensionsgaranti, the pensions organization has hired Jonas Jonsson as CEO. He will replace current CEO Jan Ahlström who is retiring after 10 years at the firm. Jonsson has previously worked at Swedbank in various roles and at Skandia but he joins PRI Pensionsgaranti from Spanish insurance company Mapfre, where he has worked for two and a half years. Catella board takes over management In December, the CEO and the CFO of Catella, Knut Pedersen and Marcus Holmstrand, handed in their resignations three weeks apart. The board has now decided to appoint their chairman Johan Claesson as acting CEO and Eva Bång as acting CFO. Bång comes from a role as Global CFO for IKEA Centres and has previously been Vice President and CFO of Hemsö Fastighets AB. The current CEO and CFO will remain in their roles until 14 April and the recruitment of a permanent CEO and CFO is ongoing. Board member Jan Roxendal will become acting Chairman of the Board. Gudme Asset Management hires new Head of Clients Torben Dam has started in a new role as Head of Clients at Gudme Raaschou Asset Management. He joins the manager from Hemonto where he has worked as a Senior Advisor for eight months. Dam has previously worked with asset management companies for 16 years at Deloitte. Lars Wedenborn proposed as new chairman at AMF Pension fund AMF will most likely get a new chairman as Lars Wedenborn has been proposed as a replacement for Marie Rudberg. From 2007 to this year, Wedenborn has been President of FAM, the holding company of the Wallenberg Foundations. He is also a board member at Nasdaq Group among others. New Head of ESG at P+ As of 1 April, Anna Maria Fibla Møller will start as ESG Senior Manager in Investments at pension fund P+. She comes from a similar position at MP Pension where she has worked since August 2018. New Press Consultant at PFA Christopher Due Karlsson has joined PFA as a Press Consultant and Advisor. He joins the pension fund after working as a journalist at Danish daily Børsen for three years. Danish partner leaves large Nordic private equity fund Nordic Capital no longer has a Danish partner, as Lars Terney is leaving the private equity fund. Read more about Terney in this article. Former FSA employee to lead Nordea Invest Rasmus Eske Bruun has taken over the hot seat at Nordea Invest, after Eric Pedersen left the position last year to become head of responsible investments. Read more about Bruun in this article. New quant senior portfolio manager joins Pensam Pension company Pensam has hired Johan Stax Jacobsen as new senior portfolio manager, to start in May. He comes to the role from an analyst position at Nordea Markets, where he has worked with institutional clients for the past two years. Read more about Jacobsen in this article. One of the largest Nordic asset managers reels in ex Blackrock and Invesco sales professional DNB Asset Management has hired Alexander Kreabs for the role of director of international sales. He will be based in Frankfurt am Main in Germany. Read more about Kreabs in this article. Avanza's CFO will leave the company in 2021 Avanza's Chief Financial Officer Birgitta Hagenfeldt has decided to leave the Swedish online broker in the summer of 2021.
